The Safe Streets Task Force, with the assistance of SLCPD SWAT, served a search warrant at 1517 S. West Temple.  Marijuana, heroin, and drug paraphernalia were seized. Stephen Copfer (11/1/66) and Sonny Morrison (4/26/78) were booked on drug charges.

A McDonald’s employee was sitting in his car in the parking lot when two Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20’s approached him and asked for a cigarette.  Some words were exchanged and one of the suspects pulled out a small pistol and fired one round into the victim’s car. The suspects then ran northeast through the block. The suspect with the handgun is about 5’9” tall with a red, black, and white shirt, baseball cap, black shorts, moustache. The other is described as about 5’10” and 180 lbs. The employee was not injured.
