August 31, 2012 — The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify a man suspected of burglarizing a commercial trailer in the city’s industrial sector.

The surveillance video shows a man arriving in a pickup truck then using bolt cutters and a hand-held grinder to break the lock on a trailer. He may be responsible for other burglaries in the area as well.

Bounded by North Temple and 2100 South, and Redwood Road and Lake Shore, the area is seeing a high rate of criminal activity. In fact, investigators say it is almost a nightly occurrence, including burglaries, metal thefts, semi-trailer cab break-ins, and thefts from industrial yards.

If you know the identity or location of the suspect, please call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by text message to CRIMES (274637). Please start the message with the keyword TIPSLCPD. Reference: case #12-133371.
