$900,000 Grant Awarded to Salt Lake Area Family Justice Center

October 12, 2012 — Salt Lake Area Family Justice Center Director Asha Parekh and Salt Lake City Police Chief Chris Burbank will announce a significant grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, Monday at 10 a.m. at the YWCA Center for Families — the first of several events in observance of Week Without Violence.

The YWCA Week Without Violence™, the third week in October, is a signature initiative created by YWCA USA nearly 20 years ago to mobilize people in communities across the United States to take action against all forms of violence, wherever it occurs.
