DAY SHIFT
0945 Attempted Burglary 1172 E. Michigan Avenue 12-211361
The victim was inside of her residence when she heard someone walking around the back of the house. She observed a male juvenile with a tool attempting to open a back window of her house. The suspect suddenly realized someone was in the home and fled. Officers were able to locate him nearby and take him into custody. The 15-year old juvenile was transported to juvenile detention and booked for felony burglary.
AFTERNOON SHIFT
1749 Drive-by Shooting 1773 S. 200 E. 12-211594
Officers responded to a call of shots fired at the above location. A camp trailer and a motorcycle parked in the driveway were struck by bullets. Several shell casings were also located. A white pickup truck with a shell was observed by witnesses driving around the area at the time of the shooting.
GRAVEYARD SHIFT
2300 Robbery 2040 S. State 12-211702
The male suspect entered the restaurant at this address and gave an employee a note demanding money. He threatened the employee, motioning with his hand in his jacket as though he had a concealed weapon. The employee opened the cash register as the suspect grabbed cash and fled out the door. He is described as a white male, black beanie cap and black jacket.
