SLCPD Seeks Suspect in Bank Robbery

Traffic Stop / Recovered Stolen Property
400 S. 900 W.

An officer stopped a car driven by Johnny Swanson (2/4/74) for a traffic violation. The officer observed drug paraphernalia in the car. Swanson was taken into custody and his vehicle was impounded. The vehicle was searched prior to being impounded and stolen property was discovered. Swanson was booked into jail on several charges that included possession of stolen property, red light violation and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Bank Robbery
290 S.1300 E.

A suspect entered the Chase Bank and passed a note demanding money from a teller. After receiving some cash, the suspect left the bank on foot and was last seen headed westbound. The suspect was described as a white male adult, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 200 lbs. The suspect wore eye glasses, a baseball cap, and a sweatshirt with the “Metro Mix” on the front.
