Dispatch received a report of a stabbing victim on the west side of the shelter. Officers arrived and found a 22-year-old male lying in a pool of blood on the sidewalk. He had a laceration to the side of his head and was bleeding profusely. Witnesses on the scene said there was an argument between the victim and another person but were otherwise uncooperative with police. The police were not contacted for approximately 20 minutes after the stabbing occurred. The victim was in very serious condition when officers arrived but was later upgraded at the hospital.
