SALT LAKE CITY— Salt Lake City Police Chief Chris Burbank will welcome attendees to 2013 Violent Crimes & Robbery Conference hosted by SLCPD, West Valley Police, Unified Police and FBI-Safe Streets Task Force Thursday morning at the main City Library, 210 E. 400 S.

Restricted to law enforcement, the two-day conference is designed to update investigators, patrol officers, supervisors and other law enforcement professionals on investigative techniques, case law, legal updates, and current intelligence regarding violent crimes and robbery. Registrants include more than 150 officers from 25 law enforcement agencies in Utah, Idaho and Montana.

Reporters are invited to the Chief’s opening remarks.
