Felony Theft

Officers responded on a theft investigation in the above area. The victim was able to supply a suspect vehicle description from the security video. Officers located the suspect vehicle and recovered the victim’s stolen property. The suspects Lolenisosinou Tuaone (7/31/1981) and Joseph Marquez (1/02/1991) were booked for felony theft.

Two groups of guests at the Garden Inn became engaged in a dispute. The suspects went to the victim’s room and attempted to force their way in while brandishing a handgun. The gun discharged. No one was hit, but the suspects fled the scene. While officers were investigating, the suspects returned to the scene. Bakar Abdullahr Eftin (1/1/1991) was booked for discharge of a firearm in city limits, use of a weapon in a fight, and numerous warrants.

Officers served a search warrant on a home in the above area. They seized heroin, cocaine, and cash from the home. Elmer N. Archaga-Carias (11/20/84) was booked for distribution of a controlled substance.

Strong Arm Robbery
210 W North Temple

A female clerk reported to police that a male suspect forcefully attempted to grab two packs of cigarettes from her hand after she refused to sell them without his identification. The suspect was not able to get the cigarettes from her and he left the store in a vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle shortly after and he was taken into custody. DJ Chanthasack (4/15/93) was booked for robbery and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Stabbing

A male adult reported that while he was sitting on the sidewalk near the door of the homeless shelter, someone walked up and stabbed him in the right thigh. The victim did not have a description of the suspect or any other details of the incident. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
