A customer at an auto repair shop began arguing with an employee. The customer brandished a handgun, threatening the employee, and then fled in a vehicle, firing several shots as he drove away. No one was injured in the incident. The suspect is a Hispanic male adult, driving a gray truck.

Child Abuse/Homicide

At approximately 5:40 p.m., Xander Toliver, 1, passed away due to child abuse. Suspect Brian Taylor, 24, remains in jail pending charges related to the child’s death. Investigators are working closely with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office in order to file formal charges.
