Burglary suspect arrested

After being located by officers in the area of 500 North Dexter, a burglary took off running. Demetrius Posey (5/24/76) tried to hide on top of a garage in this area. Officers were able to get him down from the roof and take him into custody.

Occupied/Stolen Vehicle

Officers stopped a vehicle for a red light violation and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the day. They identified the suspect as Tyler Jonathan Eyre (1/17/94) and booked him for the traffic violation, possession of a stolen vehicle, false information and warrants.

Officers were en-route to a call when they were flagged down by a citizen whose car had just been vandalized by a group of individuals. The description of the suspect vehicle was a white Dodge truck. Officers saw the suspect vehicle in the area of 1500 S. 1200 W. and conducted a traffic stop. Three of the occupants that were riding in the back of the truck jumped out and fled on foot. With the assistance of K-9, officers located the six juveniles involved and cited and released them to their parents.
