4:48 p.m.
900 W. 1700 S.

An officer was conducting speed enforcement when he observed a vehicle pass by at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted the stop but the vehicle fled and the officer did not pursue. The fleeing suspect ran the red light at 900 West and collided with a vehicle in the intersection. Then he attempted to flee on foot but was caught nearby. Timothy C. Ellis (5/1/80) was booked on fleeing, hit and run, red light violation, resisting, suspended driver’s license alcohol related, and outstanding warrants.

Key Bank Robbery
2299 S. Highland Dr.

A man entered the Key bank branch, brandished a weapon, and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect was last seen headed westbound on foot along Ashton Ave. He is described as a white male adult, 5 feet 9 inches tall, blue-gray hoddie jacket, gray mask-like face covering, white gloves, dark backpack. Investigators believe the suspect’s description and actions match the suspect who robbed the Key Bank at 1500 S. Foothill Dr. Thursday, February 13, 2014.

12:11 a.m.
Drive-by Shooting
800 N. Riverside Dr.

A small white car pulled up to the residence. The occupants claimed gang affiliation and then drove away. A short time later the residents heard gunshots. The front window of the house had been hit. No one was injured. Gang detectives have taken over the investigation.
