SALT LAKE CITY— The Salt Lake City Police Department will take its “Coffee with a Cop” program to Sugar House Coffee, 2011 S. 1100 E., from 8-10 a.m. Thursday, May 22.

Coffee with a Cop” breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between police officers and the public one cup of coffee at a time. The outreach campaign is designed to share crime trends and foster an exchange of ideas about public safety issues in the area.

Special thanks to Sugar House Coffee, which will supply one free cup of regular coffee to patrons who visit with an officer. A non-coffee beverage will be accommodated as requested. And of course, coffee is not a condition of conversation.
