Traffic Accident, Death

A witness called to report that there was a vehicle on the grass, and the female driver was non-responsive. Officers arrived and found the vehicle still running, with its headlights on. The driver, Gena Lovato-Perez, 38, was deceased at the wheel. Tire tracks indicated the vehicle left the roadway at about 600 South Foothill, proceeded east up a hill, and came to a rest after hitting a bike rack. Officers checked security cameras at a nearby building and found the vehicle accident occurred at 12:23 a.m. Preliminarily, the accident is believed to have been caused by medical problems.

Rollover-DUI
North Temple & Redwood Road

Robert Valdovinos (5/18/94) was driving west on North Temple and made a right turn on Redwood Road. He hit the median and rolled his car. Valdovinos was arrested for DUI. No injuries.

2:39 a.m.
Auto Pedestrian
100 S. 300 W.
14-79421

A pedestrian was walking westbound in the crosswalk against the light. A Gold Cross Ambulance was traveling southbound on the green light and attempted to avoid the pedestrian by swerving.  The passenger side mirror of the Ambulance hit the pedestrian, causing minor injuries.
