Traffic Accident

A passenger car was southbound on State Street when the driver failed to stop for a red light at 500 South. A pickup truck traveling westbound collided with the car. The 87-year-old man driving the car was transported in serious condition. The 41-year-old male driver of the pickup was treated and released at the scene.

Officers located and arrested wanted person Christopher James Bailey (11/20/80). He was booked on aggravated robbery and a US Marshall hold.

Smith’s Ballpark

No case

The police department is aware of an alleged assault at the ballpark Tuesday afternoon; however, no call was made to the department at the time. Later in the afternoon, the department was contacted by a local hospital about a man with an ear injury consistent with media reports. Upon responding to the hospital and interviewing the man, the alleged victim declined to file a complaint.
