5:00 p.m.
Vehicle-Trax train accident
800 W N. Temple

A 19-year-old female was driving her 2001 Dodge Neon westbound on North Temple at 800 W. She decided to make a left turn southbound on 800 W. against the advice of the “No left turn” sign. As she turned left she was hit from behind by a UTA Trax train. The driver was evaluated and released by medical on scene.

Public intoxication arrest
102 W South Temple Street

Officers received reports that there were three males in the area above walking into traffic, kicking the door of a car and getting into another car. It was also reported that they had been trying to start fights with pedestrians along the way. As officers arrived the three males fled. Two of the males were located and taken into custody. Bryan Carter (9/25/88) and Salvador Guitierrez (6/8/89) were booked on public intoxication, interfering, trespassing in a vehicle, and failing to comply with officers.

56 E 600 S

Officers responded to a stabbing that occurred at a concert in the above area. As officers tried to get the 32-year-old male victim out of the building the crowd was not allowed to enter the building and they became agitated. The victim was transported in serious, but stable condition. Once the victim was transported officers were asked by management to disperse the large crowd from the sidewalk. Two males refused to comply and were taken into custody. Brandon Lindsey (6/3/84) was booked into jail for inciting a riot, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice. Ashton Vedadi (1/22/89) was booked on obstruction of justice.

Auto/pedestrian accident
1700 S. W. Temple

A 52-year-old male driver was south bound on W.Temple attempting to turn east bound on to1700 S. when he hit a male that was northbound on his bicycle. The 36-yeard-old male victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver was cited.
