A man entered the credit union at this location and handed the teller a note demanding money.  The teller complied, and the suspect fled on foot, northbound, into the avenues. The suspect is described as a male white adult, approximately 25 years old with black hair and a mustache. He was wearing jeans and a light-blue long-sleeved shirt with a yellow shirt underneath it. ***Suspect has been identified as Marshall James Roberts, who also is wanted in connection with the July 20, 2014, robbery of Coffee Noir.

Stolen Vehicle/Search Warrant
176 W. 600 S.

An employee who works at the Motel 6 parked his Jeep and ran inside to check in for work.  While inside, his Jeep was stolen by two females. The employee worked with police and surveillance video that caught the theft on camera. Officers caught up with one of the suspects, Tasha Rasmussen (6/27/88), and detained her for the theft. The officers were led to where the victim’s Jeep was dumped and recovered it for the victim. Since one of the suspect’s was registered at the motel, officers obtained a search warrant for the room and recovered evidence linked to the stolen vehicle and drug paraphernalia. Rasmussen was booked on the stolen vehicle, with other charges pending. The other suspect remains outstanding.

James Luce (3/26/59) was panhandling in the parking lot of the Smith’s store when he approached the victim and asked for money. When the victim declined, Luce pulled a knife and demanded money. An officer that was on a shoplifter call at the store was advised of this and quickly took Luce into custody.  He was booked into jail for aggravated robbery and public intoxication.

Robbery with a gun

The suspect entered the Shell gas station, brandished a gun and demanded money. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled eastbound on foot. Containment was quickly set up and K-9 searched for the suspect, but he was not located. The suspect is described as a male white adult, in his 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 160 lbs., wearing blue jeans, a red hoodie, and what appeared to be a long dark wig.
