10:26 a.m.
Drug Arrest
435 W. 200 S.

An officer initiated a stop after observing a man who was making multiple hand-to-hand drug transactions at this location. A consent search revealed several twists of crack cocaine and a large quantity of cash, all of which was seized. Arrested: Ignacio Garcia-Laines (10/05/59) for possession with intent to distribute and a detainer for aggravated re-entry.

12:10 a.m.
Drug Possession-Foot Pursuit
320 W. 300 S.

Officers stopped a man for riding his bike on the sidewalk at this location.  While verifying his personal information, the man fled on his bicycle. Officers apprehended him without incident at 400 W. 200 S. Arrested: Eric Kellogg (11/23/62) for possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to stop at the command of an officer, and felony warrants.

12:30 a.m.
Drug Possession-Foot Pursuit
200 S. 500 W.

Officers were in the process of issuing a citation to a man when they overheard another man approach a group that was near them and request drug paraphernalia. Members of the group pointed out that there were officers nearby. The man looked up, saw the officers and fled on foot, but officers apprehended him without incident behind a building at 510 W. 200 S. after a short foot pursuit.  Arrested: Kevin Cropper (4/18/1991) for possession of heroin, failing to stop at the command of an officer, failure to provide his personal information to officers, and outstanding warrants.
