Recovered stolen motorcycle
859 W. 100 S.

Officers were at a residence investigating/interviewing several people about a theft when a man began attempting to conceal something under his shirt. He then walked away from officers, entered a room and was seen trying to hide/push a handgun up into a false ceiling. Nathaniel Potter (3/18/81) was taken into custody and booked for possession of a firearm by a restricted person and several other charges/warrants.

Aggravated assault on police officer
930 S. 200 W.

Police were dispatched on a call of someone breaking car windows with a large metal bar/pole.  Officers found the suspect walking on the TRAX line, directly on the tracks. He faced off with them, holding the bar like a baseball bat and swinging it at the officers, yelling at them to shoot him. An officer deployed his Taser and officers were able to take him safely into custody. James Mason (8/25/91) was booked on several charges including aggravated assault. 

6:35 p.m.
Strong-arm Robbery
2601 E. Sunnyside Ave.

A man arranged to meet a contact in the parking lot of This is the Place Heritage Park to purchase some used cell phones from them. When he arrived, the 32-year-old victim found several persons waiting there. As he parked, the suspects got into his car, assaulted and robbed him.  The victim, who sustained minor injuries, described the suspects as three white males and one white female in an older, possibly 90s, silver sedan.
