Theft – Resisting – CED Deployment
205 W. 400 S.

An officer was alerted to a theft in progress at the liquor store.  He made contact with Roxanne Martinez (5/24/71) as she was leaving the store with a bottle of liquor concealed on her person.   Martinez began violently resisting the officer.  The officer deployed his Taser and was able to take Martinez into custody.  Martinez was taken to jail for retail theft and resisting arrest.

Foot Pursuit Drug Arrest
210 S. Rio Grande

Officers observed Chris Waldo, (9/15/88), do a hand-to-hand transaction at 210 S. Rio Grande.  They made contact with Waldo and attempted to detain him.  Waldo twisted out of the control hold and fled on foot.  Officer pursued Waldo on foot and captured him at 230 S. 500 W.  Waldo was charged with possession of methamphetamine, carrying a concealed weapon (knife), resisting arrest, fleeing, and a warrant.

11:23 p.m.
1207 S. State St.

A male suspect entered the business and demanded money with a weapon. The clerk complied and the suspect exited through the rear door toward Edith Ave.  The suspect was described as a male, possibly Hispanic, wearing a black hat, black shirt, and black pants with a blue bandana covering his face.
