The victim who is Loss Prevention at Walmart, observed the suspect select various items in the store and attempt to leave without paying for them. When the victim confronted the suspect for shoplifting, the suspect wielded a folding blade and threatened the victim.  The suspect is described as: male, black, adult, 18-24 years old, 5’7”, black pants, black shoes, grey short sleeve shirt with white tank top underneath, a faux-hawk and goatee, wearing white gloves. He was last seen running east into the apartments at 1450 S. West Temple.

A neighbor called to report hearing screaming and two gunshots at a residence across the street. Officers responded and contacted, Veronica Lopez (7/19/95) who said she had just arrived and no one was inside the residence.  Officers found broken glass and two shell casings. Officers were able to contact occupants inside the residence and verified there was no shooting victim inside. Veronica then admitted they had a party and some people were unhappy they had to leave; the unwelcome guests smashed beer bottles on the front door and fired off two rounds. Veronica was cited for obstruction of justice.
