Wanted Person-K9 Apprehension

Suspect, Anthony Velasquez was reported to be at the listed address and had an outstanding $25,000 aggravated assault warrant. Officers located Velasquez hiding inside the abandoned residence. Velasquez was non compliant and officers deployed a Police Service Dog to take him into custody.

1:49 a.m.
200 S. 1000 W.

A white Mercedes, UT D004BT, fled from Officers in the area of 200 S. 1000 W. Officers located the vehicle abandoned behind the Mexican Restaurant at 150 S. 900 W. They quickly located and detained the three occupants as they tried to escape into Art’s Place Bar. Mellisa Mendez (1/28/88) was booked for felony fleeing and drug possession. Eric Guerro (3/14/78) and Elesio Gallegos (12/13/77) were both booked for public intoxication.
