Stabbing

Witnesses saw a man stabbing another man. The 19-year-old victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. An officer located the suspect in the area of 72 S. Main Street and took him into custody.  Witnesses made positive identification. Renan Hernandez, 29, was booked on aggravated assault and a drug charge.

Two men pushed a cart carrying two cases of beer to the self checkout of Smith’s Marketplace.  The clerk informed the men it was too late to buy beer. One of them grabbed the clerk and pushed her back against the service counter. The other suspect pushed the cart out the door and both men fled out the east door and then south along 900 east. The clerk sustained minor injury. Both of the suspects were described as Hispanic male adults, approximately 18-19 years old, with black hair, brown eyes, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with baseball hats. One of the suspects was wearing a gray zip-up hoodie while the other suspect was wearing a red zip-up hoodie.
