SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department receives hundreds of calls for service each day. Not all calls result in a report or arrest. Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Call times listed are approximate and typically reflect the first call received by SLC911 (Dispatch) for a given case. Items contained herein are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Arrest information may differ from formal charges filed by the prosecuting agency. To see a list of completed calls for service in the last 48 hours, please visit slcpd.com/policecallsforservice.

Stolen property
715 W. North Temple
15-26622

The victim of a burglary told police the area where her stolen laptop was showing via GPS locator.  Officers responded to the source of the signal and spoke to the residents. They said someone had been trying to sell them a laptop and directed police to a motel nearby. At the motel officers made contact with one of the suspects who showed them to her motel room. There, officers saw stolen property from the burglary and ultimately arrested three people. Miguel Charbonier, 40, Emaline Suarez, 43, and Ethan Cope, 19, were all booked on various charges including possession of stolen property.
