A 21-year-old female was driving in the Sugarhouse area when a young man jumped in front of her car, causing her to stop. The man opened the passenger side car door as she was trying to lock it. He told her to drive to an address in the Avenues, at the same time reaching into his backpack. Thinking he had a weapon, she complied. They reached 9th Avenue and F Street and the man hopped out, telling her to wait, as he went inside a residence. She drove across the street and called police. The man exited the residence as police were interviewing her. Tarren Gomez, 18, was booked for kidnapping and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
