Aggravated assault

A 36-year-old male victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening laceration to his face. He had been cut by an acquaintance over a verbal altercation. According to witnesses and video the victim was cut by 47-year-old Anthony Lane. Lane was booked into jail for aggravated assault and weapon violation by a restricted person.

Neighbors reported shots being fired in the area and cars could be seen fleeing the area. Witnesses observed a male fleeing to a home nearby where officers located a 17-year-old male. He confirmed that he was having a party in his mother’s vacant home when a fight broke out. No injuries were reported and the juvenile was released to his mother. Investigation ongoing.
