SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department invites media representatives to observe SWAT School training this coming Sunday, April 26, from 6:15-7:45 a.m.

Known for its rigor and intensity, the Department’s SWAT School will host multiple candidates from law enforcement agencies throughout the Salt Lake Valley. From 6:15-7:45 a.m. this Sunday, candidates will navigate a complex obstacle course, requiring physical stamina, leadership and teamwork. A subject matter expert will be on hand to explain the training. 

WHO: SWAT candidates from multiple law enforcement agencies.
WHAT: Navigate SLCPD SWAT School’s obstacle course.
WHEN: 6:15-7:45 a.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015.
WHERE: The SWAT obstacle course is near the Utah State Prison at approximately 14000 South on the west frontage road of Interstate 15. Take the 14300 South exit off I-15, turn west and then an immediate right on Pony Express Road (frontage road north). The obstacle course is approximately a quarter mile on the left (west) side of the road.
