6:53 p.m.
Shots Fired
1000 N. Victoria Way

The victim was stopped at the red light on 900 W. at 1000 N. with her boyfriend. A white late model dodge charger stopped next to them and the driver said he was Norteños and asked who she was “down with”.  The victim told him she was not in a gang and drove away.  The suspect followed and the victim heard a gun-shot.  When the victim got home she found that her car had been shot.  The suspect is described as light skinned, male Hispanic, late 20’s, wearing a red hat.

8:42 p.m.
Strong Arm Robbery (Attempted)
390 South, West Temple

The female victim was on foot, southbound on West Temple when a male suspect attempted to take her purse.  The suspect was unable to remove her purse and got into a silver Kia, driven by a female.   Within minutes Officers located the Kia at 210 South, 500 West and arrested, Angela Cooper (36yrs old) for robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The male suspect is still outstanding and is described as a white male in his 20’s with short blond hair and he was wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

Trespass and Reckless Burning
161 West, 600 South

The suspect, Nathan Beal (31yrs old) was trespassing in the Grand America hotel.  Security Officers attempted to chase him but lost sight of him.  Beal then went into the Red Lion Hotel where he was observed lighting a garbage can on fire by the stairs.  The Red Lion staff was able to put out the fire and located Beal in the restroom.    Beal was transported to jail and booked for 2 counts of trespass and reckless burning.
