Shots Fired
570 W. 200 S.

An officer was in the area when he heard several gunshots. Witnesses stated that a white older Chevy Impala without headlights turned westbound onto 200 South. Someone yelled at the car to turn on the headlights. The driver responded by firing several rounds with a handgun, possibly into the air, and continued westbound. No injuries were reported and no damage found. Shell casings were located in the roadway.

A man entered the Rodeway Inn motel lobby, approached the clerk, brandished a weapon and demanded money. The suspect took money from the till.  He also took the clerk’s cell phone and then fled to a car parked nearby in the Red Lion Hotel parking lot. The car is described as a small, dark colored Geo Metro and was seen leaving the area driven by a black male. The suspect robber is described as a black male adult in his 20’s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, tattoo of a dot underneath his right eye, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt with “Cali-for-nia”  written vertically (stacked) down the front in red letters, and black bandanna with design.
