Police Seek to Identify Suspect in Aggravated Assault on Police Officer

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department asks the community’s help in identifying the suspects in an assault that occurred on Halloween night in the parking lot of the Red Lion Hotel.

The two victims confronted a group of people that were near their vehicle in the parking lot. Words were exchanged and a physical altercation ensued.

The suspects were described as a five or six black males and a Hispanic male. These images have been enhanced and cleaned up in order to provide the best images possible of the suspects. The suspect that threw the first punch is seen in the picture wearing a blue Washington Nationals hoodie, with a white Halloween mask propped up on top of his head and black pants.

One of the victims was knocked unconscious during the altercation. The other victim required facial surgery as a result of the injuries he sustained during the altercation.
