25 S. 900 W.
Detectives were in the area assisting the health department when they noticed a male and female run behind the car wash at 15 S. 900 W. Officers went to contact the subjects. The male stopped but the female ran from officers. Officers chased after the female and were able to take her into custody. A search of the female resulted in the location of meth, cocaine, heroin and a firearm. Officers booked Whitley Calder, 26, into jail for possession of controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
2074 S. Elizabeth Street #3C
The suspect, Mace Bowen, 64, was drinking alcohol with his friend when a verbal argument ensued. Bowen went to a back room and obtained a shotgun and loaded it during the argument. The victim, reported that Mace pointed the gun at him. Mace claimed that he felt threatened by the victim but was unable to provide reasons why. Mace was booked for aggravated assault and public intoxication. One gun was booked for evidence and three others book for safe keeping.
1233 North Colorado St.
The victim left his house to go to work and found an unknown male inside his vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect who produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the leg. The suspect then fled northbound on Colorado Street. Suspect described as a MWA, 180lbs, with a foreign (not Spanish) accent. Victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
