Fatal hit and run
1340 W. North Temple St.

Officers were dispatched to the listed address and found the body of Phillip Deng Aguto, age 36, in the eastbound lanes of North Temple. Dispatch later received a call from a male adult driver who stated he was in the area of the hit and run and thought it was debris in the road and was unable to avoid hitting it. The driver was interviewed by detectives and released. The investigation is ongoing.

Fight /Damage to police vehicle
180 W. 400 S.

Officers observed a large fight in the parking lot of the Moose Lounge. The crowd failed to disperse and became non-compliant. The crowd surrounded officers so additional officers were called to assist. The club was shut down. One male adult victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries from an assault. A police vehicle sustained minor damage.
