10:48 a.m. Suspicious device 218 W. 400 N.
Officers were dispatched on a suspicious device. The device was a black safe with wires protruding from it. The safe had a white powdery substance around it along with several rounds of ammunition. The Hazardous Device Unit was called out and determined that the device was not an explosive. Officers determined that the safe was stolen in an earlier burglary and that it had been broken open. The white substance was fire retardant.
