SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Police Department is partnering with the Salt Lake Police Association to hold a 2016 Running for Safety Kids 2K Fun Run and Safety Festival. The event will take place at Backman Elementary tomorrow, Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. The 2K Fun Run will begin at Backman Elementary, go through the Jordan River Parkway Trail and Cottonwood Park and then return to the school for a safety festival.

The public is invited to attend and participate. The first 150 registrants will receive a t-shirt.
