Officer Involved Injury TA
700 E. 800 S.
A car prowl/stolen vehicle from earlier in the morning was located by an Officer who initiated a felony stop in the Smith’s parking lot at 900 E. 800 S. One Officer was eastbound on 800 S. responding lights/siren to assist. Another Officer who was also running lights/siren, was southbound on 700 E. responding to the call for assistance. Both police cars collided in the intersection at 800 S. 700 E. Both Officers were transported to U-Med, one in good condition and the other in serious condition, but later upgraded to fair. Both were released from the hospital. No other injuries or vehicles involved. UHP responded to handle the investigation of the accident.

Bank Robbery
701E. 400 S. Zion’s Bank
The suspect came into the Zion’s Bank and approached the teller. He demanded the teller to give him money. The suspect pounded his fists on the counter as he made his demands. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled out the east doors. The suspect is described as a male white adult approximately 50 years old, 6’ tall, thin build. He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt with a red “U” on the front, cut off blue jean shorts, a camo sportsman’s warehouse hat, reading glasses and black shoes with orange highlights.
