Bomb threat
210 S. Rio Grande St.

Staff at the Road Home Shelter received two separate phone calls indicating there was a bomb at the location. The building was evacuated and searched by shelter personnel. SLCPD conducted crowd/traffic control during the search. Nothing suspicious was located.

2:32 a.m.
Attempted robbery
311 W. 600 S.

A man entered a business and approached a female clerk. The suspect displayed a pocket knife and demanded money from the register. The victim backed away from the register as the suspect began to go around the counter. The victim delivered a dose of pepper spray to the suspect who then fled the store on a red bicycle. The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 30’s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a blue hoodie with a white logo on the back, a hat and a black knapsack.
