10:30 a.m.
Mail theft
1371 S. Roberta St.

A mail carrier was making deliveries in the area, parked his vehicle at 1371 South Roberta Street and left the area on foot. When he returned he observed that a bin containing several hundred pieces of mail was missing.

9:38 p.m.
235 S. 500 W.

A 34-year-old man was located with a stab wound to the chest in the area 200 South 500 West. Officers were unable to locate any suspects or witnesses. The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The suspect was described as a bald, white male adult, with blue eyes.

12:31 a.m.
Shots fired
850 W. North Temple St.

Officers were in the area when they heard a gunshot and observed a Dodge Magnum speed away. Police pursued the vehicle. Officers lost sight of the vehicle for a brief period of time but later found it near 1044 South Concord Street. A gun was found in the vehicle but suspects weren’t located.
