Foot pursuit

Cedric Willis 51, was stopped in Pioneer Park for an open container. When Officers asked Willis about a large bulge in his sock he broke away and fled on foot across the park. The area was quickly contained with the help of officers on the Rio Grande operation and Willis was taken into custody a short time later. Willis was booked into jail for possession of meth, paraphernalia, fleeing and obstruction.

Stuart Giles 46, went to the methadone clinic at the listed address to obtain methadone. When he was told he would not be receiving methadone he became irate and flashed a gun in his waistband while demanding methadone. He was told to leave, and as an employee escorted him to the door he pulled the gun out. The employee began wrestling and grabbed the gun. Another client intervened and the gun was taken from Giles. Giles fled the scene back to a residence in Bountiful where he was contacted by Bountiful Police and taken into custody. He was turned over to Salt Lake City Police and eventually booked into jail for aggravated assault and robbery.
