3:50 p.m.
Assault on a Police Officer
945 S. Washington St.

Construction workers saw an individual break into the above listed vacant address. One of the workers asked the individual to leave the home because they were there to demolish it. The individual refused and assaulted the worker. When an officer arrived on scene the construction workers were holding the individual on the ground who was still aggressively fighting. An officer was able to put handcuffs on the individual but he continued to fight. An additional officer arrived and both officers were able to take control of the AP but not before he kicked and fought with the officers. AP Cason Bolton, 30 years old, was taken to jail for burglary, resisting arrest, propelling a bodily substance, drug paraphernalia, and assault on a police officer by a prisoner.

Road Rage – Shots Fired
1340 S. Navajo St.

The victim was on Redwood Rd next to the arrested person, Bobby Archuleta 31. The victim and Archuleta exchanged words while stopped at the intersection.  Archuleta and the victim vehicle turned separate directions on California Ave but as they were turning, Archuleta fired a single round into the right rear door of the victims’ vehicle just missing their 4-year-old son, who was seated in the back seat. Gang Detectives responded and were able to locate Archuleta and his vehicle in Taylorsville. Archuleta was taken into custody. Detectives located a gun in Archuleta’s vehicle. Archuleta was booked into jail for aggravated assault x2, discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, possession of a firearm by restricted person, and possession of a stolen firearm.
