Fatal traffic accident

A white van was traveling westbound on 2100 South approaching 900 West. The vehicle sideswiped a UTA work truck and then ran into the right rear corner of a semi-trailer, both of which were in the left turn lane waiting for the light. The driver of the van was transported to a local hospital and was later declared dead. There were no injuries to the other drivers. The driver of the van has been identified as Randall Searcy, age 47.
