Shots fired
900 S. Emery St.

Gang detectives were in the area of 900 South Emery Street when they heard shots fired nearby. They then witnessed a white accord speeding away from the area of the shooting. Patrol Officers, K9 Officers and Gang Detectives pursued the suspect who subsequently crashed into a parked car in the area of 800 West 300 North. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody a short time later. Anthony Valedez-Martinez, 22, was booked into jail on various charges to include DUI, fleeing, and discharge of a firearm.
