Foot pursuit-taser deployment

Officers responded on a report of an aggressive panhandler trespassing at the Chevron at this location. When they contacted Jeremiah Turley, 39 years old, he fled, running into traffic on 500 S and nearly causing several accidents. Officers believed he posed a significant threat to himself and others and deployed a Taser to stop him. Turley was taken into custody, examined and cleared by medical and booked for fleeing, trespass, false information and warrants.
