An employee at the Ramada Inn went into the parking lot to inform two men to turn the music down in their truck. An argument ensued and the victim was punched in the face by an unknown suspect. The suspect then removed a pistol from his waistband and fired off a round into the air. He got into the truck and the left the area. The suspect is described as Polynesian male adult, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and 175 pounds wearing dark-colored clothing. The vehicle is described as a red Ford Ranger that had a black rack in the bed of the truck and no license plate.

A man was walking in the area of the Salt Lake County Government Center when an unknown suspect attacked him by slashing at his chest. The victim went to a local hospital with minor injuries. There is no suspect information available.
