Vehicle burglary

Officers responded on a vehicle burglary. The suspect was observed running into the block so containment was set up. The suspect was located hiding under a camping trailer and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was also linked to two burglaries in the area. Officers booked Jaiden Snyder, 39, into jail for two counts of burglary and one count of vehicle burglary.

Aggravated assault

A man walked into Lopez Tires carrying a square metal pipe and stated, “I’m going to kill someone”. He then proceeded to start swinging it at the men inside who then fled out onto the sidewalk in front of the business. A victim was struck in the head and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The victim’s father was also hit and received a laceration to his forearm. The suspect was located and taken into custody. Officers booked Alan Covington, 50, into jail for two counts of aggravated assault.

A male broke out a window with an axe at the Alta Motel and then threatened a man and a woman in the area with the axe. Multiple officers and K9 searched the area and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Officers booked Eric Jones, 27, into jail for two counts of aggravated assault.
