Traffic accident
650 W. 1300 S.

A vehicle was traveling eastbound on 1300 South when the vehicle went into oncoming traffic and struck a second vehicle traveling westbound on 1300 South. The occupants of vehicle number one had to be extricated and were transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The occupant of vehicle number two had minor injuries and did not require treatment. The driver of vehicle number one was processed for DUI.

Security officers for the SLC Justice Court discovered extensive property damage in the building. After reviewing the video surveillance and finding a citation, the suspect is identified as Benjamin Bandfield, age 26. It is believed the damage amount is about $5,000. There has been no arrest at this time. The suspect never made it to the clerical area where the sensitive files are kept.
