The victim was approached from behind and punched by the suspect. The suspect then took the victims cell phone and began to walk away. Officers located Victor Cossio, 42, and booked him in to jail for robbery and assault. The victim was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.


1:52 a.m.
Shots Fired
2025 S. 900 W


Officers on scene at the above address heard gunshots and began to check the area. They were later notified of a bullet hole in a semi-truck in the parking lot. No injuries were reported, and no other damage was located. Investigation on going.


2:02 a.m.
Shots Fired
880 E. 400 S.

Officers were on scene for an unrelated call when they heard gunshots close by. Officers ran towards the area and observed a male running eastbound on 400 South. Officers began to check the area and found a firearm which had been discarded. Multiple shell casings were found across the street. One building sustained damage, no injuries were reported. The suspect was not located, he is described as a male white adult, 5’10” tall, average build last seen wearing a tan jacket, white hat and blue jeans.
