Theft/Recovered Stolen Vehicle

Officers responded to the report of a retail theft at the 7-Eleven at 500 North and 300 West. The clerk caught James Dawson, 27, taking food and leaving without paying for it. When officers arrived, they discovered that the vehicle James was driving had been stolen. The officers also located stolen property taken from storage sheds inside of the vehicle. James was arrested and booked into jail for the vehicle theft, burglary, and retail theft.

Officers responded on a shots fired call at this address. When officers arrived they located a male adult near the street who was deceased. Investigation ongoing.
