8:12 p.m.
Shots Fired
1500 W. 600 S.

Neighbors witnessed a gold colored Chevrolet HHR drive west-bound on 600 South and stop in the street.  A Hispanic male was seen pointing a silver handgun out of the passenger side of the vehicle and firing rounds towards a home. There was no evidence that a home was hit by the gunfire. Shell casings were recovered at the scene.

Home invasion Robbery/Homicide
245 N Rendon Ct.

Residents on Rendon Ct. reported a home invasion. Suspects fled with residents chasing suspects on foot. A very short time later suspects were fleeing southbound on 600 W. in a vehicle. Someone fired multiple shots at the suspect vehicle which crashed on the island in the round-about at 200 N. Three suspects fled on foot. One suspect remained in the car and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The three that fled were located by officers on the Gateway TRAX platform. Two of the suspects were identified as juveniles, the third, Jordan Audinette 18, was arrested for robbery and aggravated burglary. The investigation into the homicide is on-going. The homicide victim was identified as Abubakar Mohammad 18.
