Robbery
309 E. 400 S.

Thomas Wilson Jr. 34, walked into the 7-11 and went behind the counter confronting the clerk. He assaulted the clerk while taking cigarettes. Wilson then shoved a customer that was calling for police. As he was leaving the store he assaulted the Slurpee machine, damaging it. A short distance away from the store, he was found by officers and arrested. He was taken to jail for robbery, assault, and criminal mischief.

Stabbing

The victim was on the men’s side of the shelter when suspect stepped on his foot. When the victim complained of pain, the suspect began punching the victim and then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the back of the head with it. The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, about 6’1 skinny build with a Nigerian accent. The victim was taken to a local hospital in where he was treated for minor wounds.

Traffic stop, stolen gun

Detectives observed a party letting out at approximately 1200 North Catherine and saw some of the party-goers involved in an altercation. A group left the scene and a traffic stop was conducted. When detectives approached the vehicle a handgun was seen in plain view. That gun ended up being listed as stolen, another gun was found in the car as well. Angel Medina, 19, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen handgun, possession of handgun by intoxicated person, and minor in possession of alcohol.

Shots fired

Officers responded back to the house, where the party from the above entry had taken place on a report of shots fired. Officers located shell casings, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.
