Man with a Gun
888 S. 400 W.

Dakota McShane, 21, was reported to have brandished a handgun outside the Youth VOA. McShane was visible on security camera adjusting his waistband several times and lifted his shirt near the witness. McShane was confronted from a distance and at first was compliant but then ran northbound through the Arts Space Apartments parking lot. Dakota refused to stop for police and hid in a hedge near 423 W. 800 S. McShane was taken into custody and a loaded handgun was found in the bushes near him. McShane was booked on possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted, carrying a concealed loaded firearm and failure to stop.

Auto-Ped Hit and Run
500 S. 300 W.

A pedestrian was found lying in the road. Debris from a possible vehicle were found close to where the victim had been located. No suspect information available. The victim was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
