Aggravated Assault
1358 S Jefferson St.

A woman was found lying down in the alleyway just west of Jefferson Street at the above location. She was semi-conscious and had injuries to her leg, arm and head. She was able to talk with officers and was able to give a brief description of what happened. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Investigation in ongoing.

6:11 p.m.
51 N. 800 W.

A woman was found with a gunshot wound to the head lying on the ground at this location. She was transported to a local hospital and declared deceased. The victim was identified as Alicia Baxter, 33. Investigation ongoing.

8:40 p.m.
Traffic Incident
1300 W 2100 S

A female was driving Westbound on 2100 South, as she passed 1300 West, she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle hit a fence, then a power pole, ejecting the driver and causing the car roll and catch fire. The driver was taken to a local hospital where she was processed for DUI and other related charges.
